Here's what people are saying about Chet W. Sisk...

January 24, 2008
Dear Chet,

I want to let you know how favorably the case work staff and clients responded to your first classes.

The case workers have been carrying on the discussion of the class material during their breaks. They are clearly inspired to consider what growth they want for themselves. I am impressed that they are applying the class material to their own aspirations and to their work with our clients. I am delighted that they have related to your practical and constructive advice on how they might take good care of themselves as the first step in helping others successfully.

As for the clients, I observed that they were engaged attentively and distinctly related to the idea that they are not defined by their homelessness. The message, that they have the power to make positive meaning of their experiences, instills the hope that they are able to lead purposeful lives despite adversity. I truly saw the "lights turning on" in their eyes. They "got it!"  Our case manager has told me that most of them have voluntarily reported to her on their progress reading the book and completing their home work. This is a sure sign that they have connected well with the material and are moved by the instructor.

We appreciate that you are able to bring the Window Effect Method to the OUR Center. I am certain that it will significantly contribute to our efforts to assist this group of clients with their movement toward self-sufficiency.

Truly,

Chet Sisk keynoted at our fifth international conference on Holistic Learning at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. The evaluations of his talk were uniformly positive and enthusiastic.   Based on his experience of working with the homeless, Chet delivers important messages about living in a very direct and powerful way.   His talk is relevant to almost any audience and also contains some wonderful humor.  Chet is clearly a gifted speaker who makes each person in the audience feel that he is speaking to that individual. We have had several keynote talks since 1997 and Chet’s speech would rank among our very best.
